I had given up hope and was already plotting plan B. Because let's be honest, that's what we do when plan A flops.
"I will get it done. I always do."
That was the pep talk I gave myself as I walked through the gate after a long, almost-knocked-me-out-but-in-a-good-way walk. I wasn't ready to go back inside yet, so I plopped my little tush on a patio chair to soak up a bit more fresh air. Some of my yard mates were already out there, so we got to talking. I picked up my phone and saw an email notification.
My heart dropped.
"It changes nothing. Just open the damn email."
And then, boom! My jaw was knocking on the door of hell.
"Congratulations, you won the CIQ Microgrant!"
I completely zoned out. Blake* had to snap me out of the shock I was in. I couldn't form words. I couldn't even blink properly. My idea? My idea was worth funding? That was a moment of deep soul-reviving validation. It was a solid reminder to trust your ideas, even when they sound wild, unrealistic, or too much.
Bestie, trust your ideas.
So Oversharer, here's to creating Season 2 of The Fat & Horny Podcast, thanks to the Content is Queen Microgrant!

THIS IS WHERE YOU COME IN:
I'm looking for guests for Season 2. This season, we are unpacking the messy, magical, taboo, and transformative parts of sexuality in African contexts. Think: dismantling generational sex myths, navigating sex after trauma, and exploring what real liberation looks and feels like.
Here's what I'm looking for:
Topic: The Intersection of Sex & Culture + Sexual Myths That Shaped Us
Guest Requirement: 4 women. One from each corner of Africa. North, East, West, and Southern Africa. If this is you, slide into my inbox!
Topic: Life As A Fat Sex Worker
Guest Requirement: A woman ready to speak about the emotional, physical, and psychological complexities of sex work. From desirability to fetishization. You may be a current sex worker or a body-positive advocate familiar with this space.
Topic: The Reality Behind Hookup Culture
Guest Requirement: A dating & relationship expert or therapist who is ready to help us make sense of it all. The thrill, the mess, and the myths.
Topic: The Sex Fat Women Want
Guest Requirement: An intimacy coach or sex educator with the tea on toe-curling pleasure, fat bodies, and how to bridge the gap between desire and satisfaction.
Topic: Sex After Trauma
Guest Requirement:
1 child sexual abuse survivor

I know how heavy this is. Please only volunteer if you are emotionally ready to share. And if anonymity makes you feel safer, that's what we will do.
